Seedstock producers

Dowling Cattle Company was established in 1950 by Carl “Pop”, Dean & Louise Dowling. DCC started as a custom feeding operation. Land was established and Carl and Dean built feedlots and bought and sold truckloads of feeder cattle, as they were farming enough ground to feed them. As the years progressed Dean and Louise Dowling, with help from son Kelly Dowling, added additional dryland and irrigated farming which allowed them to start their cow calf operation. All faucets are still in operation today. 

Kelly & Roxanne Dowling with sons Tanner, Garrett, Payden and Laton recognized that by improving the quality of their cattle, their feed efficiency was much greater. Their cow base was made up of quality black hided easy keeping, muscular cows which was the base that allowed them to start utilizing AI practices to become competitive in the showring. All four boys competed nationally in the showring, 4-H and Livestock Judging. 

Fast forward to today and Laton & Sophia Dowling and family moved back to the farm to continue its growth alongside Kelly Dowling. There is a great base of females that have been carefully curating for generations. DCC AIs all 500+ momma cows and afterwards exposes them to quality registered Simmental and Angus bulls they buy from some of the country’s top breeders.
